Our education system was optimized to teach as many students as possible during the Industrial Revolution and it has not changed much since. College is better in terms of teaching critical thinking but there is still not enough emphasis on applications. My favorite classes and the ones where I am most motivated are those in which we get to work in teams to tackle projects. The project-based classes usually aren’t reached until the final years of college, but I think this style should be applied at all levels of education!
