That’s an interesting point regarding the audiobook narrator: I usually don’t pay much attention to the narrator and I’ve never been turned away from an audiobook by the narrator.
I personally don’t use Audible, preferring to get free audiobooks from a public library, but it seems like Audible is a reasonably priced service. There is still a place for human book recommendations, and I rely on in-person discussions to find many books. Libraries are amazing because you can get recommendations in addition to vast catalogs of audio and print books.
