You can run plotly in Jupyter Notebooks offline for free as much as you want. Plotly also gives you 25 free hosted charts that you can share with anyone. Also, as I frequently do, you can open the plots from the Jupyter Notebook and edit them for free in the plotly chart studio. I’d say that’s a pretty good deal! There’s nothing wrong with companies making a profit from a great product especially when they offer a free open-source version.
